ROBOTS AND A 3D LASER FOR PACKAGING FROZEN BREAD ROLLS INTO BOXE
The packaging line for frozen bread rolls uses 2 robots and a 3D laser scanner to sort the products according to the required sizes. The products pass through a metal detector, which rejects the contaminated ones. This is the first sorting stage. Then, they pass under a 3D laser scanner, which analyses the physical dimensions of each product, measuring length, width, and shape with extreme accuracy. Thickness and colour can be controlled as well. Two robots pick up the conforming products from the conveyor belt and put them in order inside the boxes. While the robots fill the boxe, a checkweigher per each box take under control the total weight. These boxes come already assembled with a bag inside.
